The good points -
I had the pleasure of staying at Queens Walk Guest House for over 3 months. what you want in a good B&B is a good breakfast, and that is what you get at queens walk - a FAB breakfast - it was freshly cooked each morning - and I was always asked what I wanted the night before - great bacon, nicely cooked eggs always to my liking- soft and creamy. Also I was always asked if I wanted toast, cereal, coffee or tea. to me this is what I expect and Mr. Tamlyn always delivered! over my 3 months there I had a number of rooms, they wre always very warm, the beds very comfortable, and working away from home I had some of the best resful nights ever. I have found Mr. Tamlyn to be very approachable and he is always willing to help - especially when I always needed to borrow an iron and iron board - also Mr. T has had the insight to have rooms with fridges, digital TV and he is looking to install WI-FI.
Also the rate per night Mr. Tamlyn charges is VERY VERY GOOD, you will not find better value !!!!
THE IMPROVEMENT POINTS -
to give a balanced review - the bad points are -
The traffic in the mornings if you leave after 8.00 a.m. is a bit of a nightmare.
parking outside Queens Walk B&B - as long as its early am/late pm but you can always find ample spaces outside or around the B&B in the next streets
stick to the check in times - as thats clear on Mr. T's website-as he has things to do
In summary- I now share a house and thats why I am not staying at Queens Walk B&B, but I will always have really fond memories of staying at queens walk and the welcome Mr. T gave me - to be honest he made the 4 hour travel to Peterborough easier - as I knew I could always chat to him and be welcomed!!!!

Dear my M.K. Tamlys
This is my review regarding our stay in your guest house.
Queens walk guest house was a perfect place to stay for myself and my girlfriend. The rooms were astonishingly clean and tidy and the quality of the facilities provided were super. The attendance upon arrival was very welcoming and the staff were more than helpful. Slight difficulty in finding a parking space but the street parking was safe and had no problems finding a space in the same street close to the guest house. Can't comment on the quality of breakfast provided as we left quite early than the serving time.
Overall i would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a quite, cost effective and quality place to stay for a night or more. Would definitely wish to stay there in future.

Our room was clean and you made us feel welcome when we arrived. Your cooked breakfast was very good. We found you very friendly & helpful. Overall very good value for money.

hi malcolm, my wife and myself recently stayed at your guest house, we found it to be pleasant, the room we had was a good size and we were very happy with the facilities that came with it, i.e. kettle, fridge, tea and coffee and a television. we found the bed very comfortable and the shower was nice and hot, sadly for me the shower was a bit small ( however i am 6ft.2. ) all in all we really enjoyed our short time at the queens walk and would certainly like to return, if only for the fantastic breakfast.

I stayed at the Queens Walk Guest House in July 2010. I stayed for one night and will definitely be returning in the future when I visit Peterborough. The room was clean and tidy with well thought out facilities,but also coffee,tea,chocolate, a fan with hot and cool air, and also a fridge. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had instant hot water. I found the management team to be friendly and hospitable. I would caution though that guests must arrive by 8.00 p.m. or are locked out! Overall - highly recommended and excellent value for money.

I can certainly offer a review. How about this
" I have stayed at the Queenswalk Guest House a number of times and have always been greeted with a friendly welcome by the owner. The location is very convenient for the city centre whilst also being in nice and quiet residential street. The rooms are well set out, comfortable and always clean. All in all a very comfortable nights stay in Peterborough and for a very reasonable price- I will certainly be staying here next time I am in Peterborough for business."

My colleagues and myself have enjoyed our stay ( 3 weeks ) and would gladly recommend the b&b to anyone. Mr room, single, is very comfortable. Has all amenities, tea, coffee making,etc, plus the added bonus of a small fridge. In my opinion very good value.
